Muffle furnace is a commonly used heat treatment equipment in scientific research and industrial production. Its operation involves complex environments such as high temperature. Therefore, relevant safety regulations and operating procedures must be strictly observed during use.
1.Safe operation: The muffle furnace must be operated by professionals, and it is strictly forbidden for non-professionals to use it privately. During the heating process, keep the surrounding environment of the muffle furnace clean to prevent dust, fiber and other impurities from entering the furnace. The heated crucible should be transferred to a dryer for cooling and placed on a buffer refractory material to prevent moisture absorption and cracking.
2. Temperature control: The furnace temperature must not exceed the maximum furnace temperature during use, and it must not work for a long time at the rated temperature. Do not open the furnace door after the temperature exceeds 600 degrees, and wait until the temperature in the furnace cools down naturally before opening it.
3. Sample processing: Make sure the sample is dry and does not contain combustibles or explosives. Do not pour liquids or dissolved metals into the furnace. When using an electric furnace for ashing experiments, make sure to place the sample in the electric furnace for full carbonization before placing it in the ashing furnace.
4. Maintenance and inspection: Regularly check whether the wiring of the electric furnace and controller is in good condition and whether the pointer movement of the indicator is normal. After use, make sure that the power of the muffle furnace is turned off and regularly perform maintenance and inspection on the muffle furnace.
5. Other precautions: When moving the muffle furnace, be careful to avoid severe resonance and keep it away from flammable and explosive items. When using it for the first time or after a long period of disuse, the muffle furnace should be dried to stabilize the furnace temperature and reduce impurities in the furnace. Do not pull out the thermocouple suddenly at high temperature to prevent the outer jacket from cracking.
