Cleaning a muffle furnace requires following certain steps and precautions to ensure the safety and cleaning effect of the muffle furnace.
1.Clean the inside of the chamber: Use a wire brush or similar tool to gently clean the inside of the muffle furnace to remove the accumulated carbon dust, dust and chemicals. You can spray the muffle furnace with a high-temperature cleaner and preheat the muffle furnace to activate the cleaner. Let the muffle furnace run at the set temperature for a while to remove any gunk and carbon deposits. Afterwards, pour out the cleaner and clean the muffle furnace with clean water.
2.Clean the muffle furnace’s surface: You can use warm water and pure soap mixed with a brush to clean the muffle furnace’s surface. After cleaning, rinse it with clean water and wipe it with a clean cloth. For stains that are difficult to clean, you can use alcohol to wipe it. Alcohol can not only remove stains, but also disinfect.
3.Clean the exhaust pipe: If you find that the pressure in the furnace suddenly increases, the exhaust pipe may be blocked. At this time, you should first open the exhaust valve that is not connected to the water seal, and then close the exhaust pipe valve that is connected to the water seal to clean it. After cleaning, open the exhaust valve that is connected to the water seal and close the exhaust valve that is not connected to the water seal.
4.Maintain external cleanliness: Keep the exterior of the muffle furnace clean, and frequently scrub away dust and oil stains. You can use a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush (wet it first) to clean the dust on the surface. When not in use, place it in a ventilated, dry, dark place, and cover it with a dustproof cloth to prevent dust from intrusion.
5.Regular inspection: The muffle furnace should be inspected regularly after being used for a period of time to ensure that there is no accumulation inside and no dust and debris outside. When inspecting, the power and gas should be turned off to prevent accidents.
6.Resuming use: After confirming that the muffle furnace has been thoroughly cleaned and dried, you can re-ignite and resume normal use of the muffle furnace.
